Loyal dog China grave – A loyal dog in China refuses to leave owner’s grave, goes week without food! Lao Pan, 68, the owner of a yellow dog died earlier this month in the village of Panjiatun, China. The loyal dog disappeared after the death of his master and was later found by neighbors in the graveyard of his master.
China Grieving Dog Guards the Grave Of Its Dead Owner
The dog has refused to leave the owner’s grave, guarding his dead master during the last seven days without food. The villagers tried to bring the dog back to the village and gave it some food. But the dog would go back to the grave of his master after taking the food.
“Now the villagers are sending food and water to the dog regularly and plan to put up a kennel for it near its owner’s grave,” Sky News wrote.
The story is reminiscent of Hachiko, a Japanese dog with unquestionable loyalty to his master. In 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner’s life Hachikō saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno didn’t return on the usual train one evening.
The professor had suffered a stroke at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting. Hachiko, not realizing the death of his master, kept coming back to the train station for more than ten years hoping that his master would still show up on the same spot where they last met.
